PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE & WELCOME LETTER
"Volunteers make a difference"
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
Volunteers can make a significant difference in a child's life, whether they are parents, grandparents, and community or business leaders. Principal recognize that a strong group of Volunteer Involved Parents will ensure an even stronger program for children, and the important role they play in helping the school meet the many special needs of children.
Once again thank you for the opportunity to serve as the educational leader for your children and this community, DCS Family with your support, the staff of this school has been able to provide the children with a strong acadmic program as well as activities which seek to develop positive social skills.
Here at Dominican Catholic School we realize that to ubild a strong educational program, we need to reach out to the community and invite members to participate with us in bringing out the very best in each child. We also realize that our school is but part of a team of organization, agencies and services which serve chldren and families. To that end, we are involved in making connections with a number of groups in the community.
DCS is indeed a family / a faith community. Our school has many volunteers generously giving their time, skills, and talents. Each volunteer provides valuable services by working directly with a small group of children or by performing extra-ordinary tasks, or any number of other jobs needing a pair of willing hands and a loving heart. What makes our school work is the generosity and kindness of everyone involved.
A strong parent volunteer group will ensure an even stronger program for students. It is also a chance to give and grow one self.
Thank you.
Sr. Zenaida T. Ancheta, O.P.
